Bahamas

As with many of our work trips we have a hard time bringing out the big camera for any other times other than official shooting/work times and this trip was no exception. This doesn't mean we don't want to take photos of our surroundings, we are simply saving our backs and our mental energy for the intense shooting hours that we have ahead of us. We arrived in Nassau, Bahamas on Tuesday after a early morning flight from Austin. We had two full days of opportunity to explore the island and you know what we did? What most other tourists do. Normally, this would disappoint me as we barely left the Atlantis resort, where the wedding was, but we are in the middle of wedding season damnit and for once in my life I just didn't mind sitting on my butt and drinking a pina colada out of a coconut. The Atlantis resort feels like Vegas in many ways, we walked what felt like miles to get to the other side of the resort, there is a large casino & an endless supply of alcohol. The long walk was far from boring though as most of it passes by a few beaches, waterslides, more pools than I can count, & what felt like a never ending aquarium. The directionally challenged, such as myself, may find themselves getting hopelessly lost at night but with the nonstop amusement and beauty of the Bahamas it's difficult to get frustrated along the way. I will be back in November for a wedding vendor conference and have intentions of exploring the other islands and the different side of the Bahamas.I still managed to take plenty of photos with my iphone (most of the photos below) and snapped a few for Charlene & Jeff with the 5d MarkIII (the night photos). I am very excited that on my next trip in one week, to Panama, I will be trying out my new Fuji XT-1 with 18-55mm lens. I am very hopeful that this will be my new travel camera instead of my phone!~CarolineBahamas-wedding-photography-summer (1 of 7)Bahamas-wedding-photography-summer (2 of 7)Bahamas-wedding-photography-summer (3 of 7)Bahamas-wedding-photography-summer (4 of 7)Bahamas-wedding-photography-summer (5 of 7)Bahamas-wedding-photography-summer (6 of 7)Bahamas-wedding-photography-summer (7 of 7)
