Foodie's Wedding in the Berkshires

August Moon

I happen to give my CPA a call last spring to ask him about my taxes. After a few minutes of necessary but dry conversation concerning fees and documents, he said he was getting married in Massachusetts at the beginning of fall. Despite years of working with Paul, I had weirdly never actually met him in person but finally had the chance to on his wedding day almost exactly one year ago. There are some goofy photos of myself so excited to finally do so. I obviously trust him to know my finances but I also would now trust him to host an amazing party. Paul & Kate found a venue not far from where they are originally from in the Berkshires, called August Moon. With the perfect fall weather of the northeast, they were able to utilize the huge backyard for their ceremony, cocktail hour, and tented reception. Paul's sister owns a boutique Italian speciality shop in Gloucester, MA - Pastaio via Corta; which means, I was in heaven when it came to the food being served. Not only did they have one of the most beautiful and epic charcuterie boards I have ever seen, they had more courses than I could count, including homemade pasta and pizza made from a brick oven that Paul had towed in for the reception. What a dream wedding. <3 So glad I finally got to meet Paul and his amazingly sweet wife who runs a nonprofit out of Austin, Collective Humanity. They do amazing work for marginalized communities to help get them above the poverty line, please check out the amazing artisans they feature on their website.
