Crested Butte – This small town has my heart. Although it is over a 4 hour drive from Denver, I’ve made the trek out many times to hang out with friends & hike. With a town of just over 1,500 people it feels like a lot more in the summertime as many Texans make their way up to enjoy cooler weather. It’s also well known in the summer for its’ mountain biking trails. Being one of the towns with the highest elevation (almost 9,000 ft) it’s not uncommon to see it snow well into June here.
Denver – The mile high city. Denver used to fly under the radar as people would often make their way straight to the ski towns but Denver has been growing in popularity and in size over the last few years. With the mountains a short drive away, beautiful views, great weather, and delicious food, there is no question as to why.
Telluride – A bit of a venture outside of Denver at just over 6 hours away. Best known for the scenic Bridal Veil Falls located at the head of box canyon. You can also find many mine ruins here as it was a big hub for finding gold in the late 1800’s.
