Antigua, Guatemala Wedding | Kristin & Alejandro

Kristin & Alejandro are some of the most easy going people I’ve ever met and I was lucky to be available for the wedding in August just 4 months out. Even with the large probability of rain, Kristin always remained in high spirits and was willing to get drenched in her wedding dress for some great photos. Their traditional Catholic ceremony at La Merced started right at sunset and left us leaving right at the beautiful time of twilight. Las Capuchinas was lit up with color for the reception and was the perfect reception venue to show off the amazing historic architecture Antigua, Guatemala has. The reception ended at 11 but we continued photos, utilizing the rainy weather to our benefit. I’ll never forget rolling down the streets of Antigua with the bride, groom, & his parents in back with their good friend driving and his wife scrunched in the middle blaring “El Taxi” by Pitbull with the windows down at midnight.

Austin Indian Wedding | Ana + Tony

To say that I love multi-cultural weddings is an understatement. Ana & Tony had a cultural and festive affair combining their Brazilian & Indian families together. Their wedding took place right on Lake Travis at Villa del Lago and while the rain threatened us it ended up being a beautiful day without a drop during the events. Everything from their two ceremonies, attire, & food represented both sides of the family (and of course, a little bit of Texas!). Tony rode into the ceremony on a white horse and, as tradition holds, had his shoes stolen by the bride’s sisters! There was no shortage of delicious food at the wedding; in between the ceremonies ice cream was served by Good Times Austin, they served traditional Indian food for dinner, Brazilian desserts were made by Ana’s family, not to mention two cakes, and late night snacks. Even with a packed dance floor we were able to sneak away for few minutes to take photos utilizing the awesome uplighting. They exited the reception with sparklers which always gives the ending to the night a spark ;)
