San Ignacio, Belize Engagement | Lianie + David

After first meeting Lianie & David in Belize, the following day they invited us out to their family ranch to hang out. I have been to many ranches before but this was magical! Just off the beaten path outside of San Ignacio and likely impossible for us to find without the guidance of David & Lianie leading us there. We rode horses to watch the sunset from the top of a hill and drank out of coconuts hand cut by David with a machete. (You can see me attempting/failing to do the same in my about me video). Afterwards, Lianie’s dad invited us to watch the super bowl game at their home in San Ignacio (which was also where the wedding was held). I might not get very excited about sports but it was the perfect set-up for the game and we had a blast celebrating Denver’s win with local Belkin & nachos made from scratch by the family. When Mark & I came back out to shoot the engagement session and wedding we wanted to make sure to get photos of David & Lianie at the magical ranch that they (& now us) are so attached to.

Antigua, Guatemala Wedding | Andrea + Chris

My first two weddings of 2016 took place in the beautiful country of Guatemala and because I didn’t have anything scheduled in between them, I decided to stick around. I ended up spending over 6 weeks in Central America, adventuring out to Belize & Honduras as well. Even with that much time accumulated, I still can’t wait to go back because that is how special of an area it is. Andrea & Chris found me through a referral and I am thankful that our paths were able to cross. A testament to how amazing they are is shown by the 180 guests that flew from all over to be a part of their big day. The day before the wedding we roamed the streets taking photos to assure that we could give Antigua the proper time it deserves. The wedding itself was held at Casa Santo Domingo but we ventured out to Santa Clara for the first look. During the sunset Catholic ceremony we could hear the volcano erupting, which sounds like thunder, an experience never to be forgotten. As soon as the reception began the dance floor was full, people from Ohio certainly know how to party. It only stopped after 2am when the venue basically had to kick us out. I would party with these kids any day.
