The technical side of photography is what initially drew me to the art but there is a lot to love about what I do. I love getting to know fascinating people in all walks of life, I love a good party, and I love all the gooey, cheesy bits of love everyone gets to experience on a wedding day.
Traits that qualify me to photograph your wedding :
Huge fan of my family and friends, real huge, just like you.
As of late 2020 I have photographed over 400 fabulous marriage celebrations.
There is a degree in photography in my possession, although admittedly I learned all the important stuff post graduation.
Currently based in Denver, CO & Austin, TX (yes, both), originally from Houston and go back often to see family.
If you're having a destination wedding, I'm also quite well traveled with events.
Other random traits about myself :
Live music is a must in life after 7 years of choir, all the genres.
My favorite beverages include cappuccinos, champagne, and sour beers.
Once upon my wanderlust years, I went a year without having a formal definition of a home. (Thankful for a hospitable sibling during the interims).
Lately I've been binge watching jeopardy, did you know butterflies taste with their feet?
My mission statement is simple, I crave depth and authenticity in my photography. I want my clients to feel comfortable in front of my camera and subsequently me. I can't tell you how many clients come to me saying that they're uncomfortable in front of the camera, don't worry, this is a process we work through together. My energy is focused on real & natural moments, which allows you to simply be yourself and not have to worry about me.
Thoughtful photography is the best way to tell your personal story.
From intimate backyard weddings in my hometown of Houston, to one thousand person Mexico City weddings until 6am, and everything in between, all of it piques my creative interest.

“Most. Amazing. Wedding photos. EVER.
THEY captured pure joy and jubilance on every single face that night (which is a bit of a task for almost 300 people). I still cry every time I look at them. I've had such a hard time putting into words how incredibly amazing they are. Guests at the wedding kept saying how they were everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Photo Ninjas!
there's nobody better. Period”

Q: What is the editing process?
A: I have a tendency to take a lot of photos on the wedding, working on capturing those tiny moments of course. From there I personally select the images that will be edited (again, by me personally) for the final gallery. From those selects I choose around 75-100 images for a slideshow of my favorites to be delivered to you prior to the full gallery.
Q: Who will photograph our wedding?
A: Most of my wedding collections come with myself as well as a second photographer to get separate coverage during the getting ready, different angles during the ceremony, and assist with lighting during portraits. All second shooters I hire are fellow working professional wedding photographers. Third photographers are also available for larger weddings.
Q: Do you shoot details and family formals?
A: Absolutely. Before the wedding day I will finalize family formal list so I know who to cover and I always make sure to cover all the details that make your wedding gorgeous.
Q: Do you photograph elopements?
A: Of course! Depending on availability and the number of hours you have set aside for photography, I have special rates for weekday weddings and elopements. I love the intimate setting created between a couple as they exchange vows in an alternative fashion.
Q: We’re having a destination wedding. Do you travel?
A: Yes! I love destination weddings and have been lucky enough to travel all over the world shooting weddings. Send me more information on your travel plans, and I will create a custom wedding collection to suit your needs. I handle all the bookings for travel so you do not have to worry about it.
Q: Can we chat before hand?
A: Absolutely. I’d love to set up a time in person but given my chaotic travel schedule, I often resort to Skype or Google hangout.
Q: What equipment do you use?
A: I always carry 2 Canon full frame cameras, a 50 mm lens, 28 mm lens, 35 mm lens, 85 mm lens, & 70-200 mm lens, among other items for lighting.
Q: But seriously, how do you handle non-photogenic people?
A: I cannot tell you how often I hear this! I work very hard to keep my clients distracted from the fact that they’re being photographed by blending into the wedding day and giving my clients something to do to give the portraits a more candid feel.
Q: Will we get a print release to the photos?
A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full print release.
A: To reserve your wedding date I require a non-refundable retainer of $1500 & a signed contract which can all be done online once I send over a booking proposal. 50% of the remaining balance is due 3 months before the wedding and the final payment is due 3 weeks before the wedding date.
