Dallas Indian Wedding | Samantha + Rajiv

Samantha & Rajiv hosted an amazing 3 day event in Dallas this past October. The event started at Samantha's parent's home with a theme of lights and henna for the girls. The sangeet held place at the Renaissance Hotel's brand new ballroom. Performances were made by many family members & friends as well the Roarin' Raas Dance Team, from Rice University with surprise appearance by Rajiv himself! The wedding day included a baraat lead by DJ Yogi on the shut down streets in front of the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas. The hindu ceremony lasted an hour and included the traditions of exchanging the garland, the panigrahana, where the groom takes the bride's hand in front of fire, and the saptapadi, where the groom leads the bride around the fire 7 times as they are tied together. After lunch and a short break the 800 person party was kicked off with magicians, centerpieces as tall as me, a hip-hop flutist, & a comedian MC (Paul Varghese). I expected nothing less as the dance party lasted into the wee hours of the morning! Thank you to Events by Hala for making sure everything ran smoothly and to Todd Events for making it beautiful!
