Plantation Oaks

jacksonville florida downtown engagement photo

I absolutely love reconnecting with former clients at weddings, it is such an honor to be thought of again years after their friend or family's wedding day. In this case, I photographed Camillia & Will's wedding in Puerto Rico back in 2011 as well as her brother's wedding in Austin in 2016. On their wedding date last June, I couldn't help but post one of my favorite photos (the last) and write about how I felt. "Putting in words how I feel tonight has been a difficult undertaking. Appreciative, proud, grateful are a few words I can think of but they still don't do my feelings justice. There is so much more to the way my clients can make me feel after photographing them. I've always thought of myself as a person that is weak in empathy, (in true honesty), but my clients evoke feelings in me I didn't know I had the ability to feel... and like finding a muscle you didn't know you had, you work it out to become stronger. Then all of a sudden, it's a regular muscle in use. I photographed Sandra's cousin's wedding almost 7 years ago and today I hung out with their family again like it was yesterday. That is special. ♥️ " Looking back on the photos 10 months later makes me feel so special all over again.
