Dresden, Germany Wedding | Erin + Felix
If I haven't said it enough, I am incredibly grateful and appreciative for the interesting people I have met throughout my career. While Erin is from Texas, I didn't actually get to meet her & Felix until we were bunked up at the Schloss Eckberg castle in the middle of December. It was very cold for my Texan blood but the Christmas market was in full force so I had plenty of mulled wine to warm me up. Christmas time in Germany is beyond charming, combine that with an adorable love story and my heart was ready to explode. Felix is from Germany, in a town not far from Dresden, but they met in a bar in El Paso, TX of all places. The German military has taken him all over but that didn't slow them down, Erin made sure to travel to wherever he ended up stationed. Their ceremony was sweet and heartfelt but what I will never forget is the amount of love that was poured into every speech given. When I say there was not a dry eye in the house/castle, I mean it, including me. Erin's two brothers totally melted my heart. Since the sun set at 4pm on the wedding day, we went back out for more photos of the two of them in Dresden a couple days later. MAJOR props to Erin for looking warm in all the photos considering it was a chilly 35 degrees that day. That night her family took all of us out to a traditional German dinner that ended in the hotel spa with champagne. This was one hell of a weekend I will never ever forget. Can we do it again some time? Special thanks to Tricia Hamil for helping the day run smoothly & for making it more beautiful.
